Income by stream, per month
Where the money goes
The full month
Every line is calculated from the numbers on the left. It's the same maths as the spreadsheet's Typical Month sheet.
Pricing check: are we giving time away?
Each product against what the time it takes would earn: walk-in prices for tickets and hire, group-hire rates for parties. Red = more than 30% below.
Walk-in tickets: one, the other, both, or ride along
Profit per kid after fuel and wear, gellets and card fees. The Kayo S125 is a two-seater, so a second kid can ride along.
Holiday specials (school-holiday months)
Profit per sale after heats, gellets, snack and card fees. Holiday Club staff are counted on the Typical month tab.
Party packages
The 3-hour hosting rule (Pit Stop, bring your own food)
Rate card outside parties
What each hour earns if it's full, and what it costs you to run. Staff are counted here; rent isn't (that's in the cost of being open, above).
More karts × more kids = monthly profit
Go down to a fleet size and across to karts-only walk-ins per open day. Everything else (parties, combos, Battle Zone, costs) stays as on the left. The outlined cell is your current numbers when they're on the grid.
Profit line for three fleet sizes
Kids turned away per day
Above zero = the track is full. That's when to buy karts.
Months to pay back the start-up
Start-up includes extra karts above the ones you own, plus helmets.
Cash position month by month
The 12 months: change the season, ramp-up and peak pricing
Season 1.0 = a typical month. Ramp-up = how busy a brand-new venue is. Uplift = extra % on prices in peak months.
Still to spend before opening
Karts you already own cost nothing more here; they're shown at the bottom so you can see payback on the whole investment. Change costs in groups 1 and 8 on the left.
One Saturday: parties side by side, walk-ins in the gaps
Put in the parties booked for the day. They're placed automatically: two can run at once, one on the track while the other is in the Battle Zone, then they swap and both go to the party tables. Whatever track and arena time is left goes to walk-ins.
